The European Eagle Owl was once native to the UK but disappeared after persicusion by Man. Now, in remote areas some birds have reappeared as a result of migration from Continental Europe possible due to pressures on their traditional hunting grounds. This image is a captive rescue bird taken at a bird of prey centre.
