The Gallery: The Gallery: wetland life
Wetland environments in the UK are very important habitats not only for our own native birds but also for the winter migrants that fly south from their summer Arctic breeding grounds. Nothing matches the spectacle large flocks of really wild ducks, geese and swans flocking. What Sir Peter Scott set up after World War 2 on the Severn Estuary, the Wetland and Wildfowl trust is truely extrodinary. All images on this page have been taken either at Caerlaverock on the Solway Coast or Slimbridge on the Severn Estuary.
